my youngest cousin is softly snoring on the bed next to mine. my stomach—slightly bulging from the perfectly smoked salmon, my dad’s famous barbeque, and my mom’s mouthwatering sesame salad/fruit concoction—is satisfied. my eyelids have been even for the past couple of weeks. my ears are thanking my decision to get spotify premium. my bed is so comfortable. my mind isn’t as flooded with thoughts of things as before. there are less than three weeks of school left. and I’m pretty much busy until school starts. I want more alone time to mentally prepare myself for the changes I will experience in the next school year. I’m not ready for the responsibilities. but it’s good to start somewhere. I’m blessed.
